Sunday Sail: Bubbles on the Boat

Back by popular demand--we hit the high seas of Lake Champlain for an afternoon of champagne tasting and feasting on the water with Whistling Man Schooner Co. and special guest sommelier Lauren Hayes (who had so much fun she is now our Director of Operations!) . We put on our best nautical stripes and floated down to the docks—Lauren and Sas were on board ‘The Friendship’ to greet guests with a tray champagne cocktails! Once out on the water, Lauren popped corks and poured glasses from three sparkling wines from around the world, giving a guided tasting and history behind each bottle. Fortunately, she has excellent balance as pouring wine on a moving sail boat proved to be no simple task.

No sailing adventure is complete without an onboard feast! Guests were treated to a decadent boxed picnic from Chef Frank Pace of the Great Northern that paired perfectly to the bubbly wine.

This Adventure included a 2-hour sailing adventure, picnic al fresco, three courses of free flowing sparkling wine and a champagne cocktail to start.

We offered three cruises for this intimate Sunday sail, 12:30, 3:30 and 6:30 voyages with only 8 spots per cruise.

This event was shine only; in the event of inclement weather, guests would have been able to choose between guaranteed seats at the next Sunday Sail or a full refund.
