Adventure Dinner returned to Killeen Crossroads Farm to host the ultimate chef-driven, farm-to-table dinner! Chefs James Kitchens (Adventure Dinner) and Breana Lai Killeen (Killeen Crossroads Farm) cooked up a 4-course ode to fall using the Asian vegetables, eggs, and chickens raised on the farm. The night kicked off with a refreshing aperitivo cocktail served from a 1974 Toyota Land Cruiser turned bar–a perfect sip to have in hand as we toured the fields, learning about the innovative and sustainable agricultural practices the Killeens use for raising chickens, cows, veggies and fruit. After wandering the farm, we sat down to a multi-course meal featuring the fall harvest paired with cocktails and wine, and a table surrounded by tiki torches and live-fire cooking. We ended our evening with dessert on the farmhouse porch and patio, lingering in last golden hour rays—a perfect end to a crisp fall evening on the farm.
