Adventure Dinner: Point Break Beach Party

We took over the Burlington Surf Club to bring the ultimate beach blanket bash to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Point Break, complete with paddle boards, heists, and a 90s party like only Adventure Dinner could pull off!

We put on our best throwback swimsuits and greeted guests with a cold beer from Zero Gravity as they picked out the perfect spot on the sand before a whole new kind of adventure. We had three “heist” challenges, in and out of the water, to unlock three courses of delicious food and drink. We were on our feet, moving and grooving, sipping and dipping, splishing and splashing, as we played our way from one course to the next, evading Johnny Utah at every turn. 

Chef Frank Pace from the Great Northern brought his skills to the grill and cooked up a menu inspired by 90s LA, served up with a modern twist. And the only way to get a taste was to complete the heist challenge! (And yes, for you Ultra Fans, we had Pappa’s famous order on the menu.) 

And no Point Break Party would have been complete without a movie screening! We’ll packed up dessert to go, shook the sand out of our towels, and walked on over to Barge Canal Market with our beach chairs and blankets to take in an outdoor screening of this classic Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves flick.
